Ward Bennett's interiors have come to define the best of the monochromatic, pared-down look of the 60s and 70s, and his influence can clearly be seen in many modern design projects.
When he wasn't decorating homes for the likes of David Rockefeller and Jann Wenner, Bennett, also a prolific artist, was designing furniture manufactured in collaboration with Brickel. The partnership resulted in upwards of 100 chair styles by 1979. While his interior work belongs to the 60s and 70s, there is a freshness to his furniture that makes it as relevant today as when it was first offered for sale. I've spent an unreasonable amount of time here looking up the latest available items. Here are a few favorites.
